Ad ogni modo a me l'IA ha creato un élite team di ex ufficiali di Starfleet, scienziat, ingegneri e criminali vari che lavora indipendentemente con gli ideali di Starfleet ma senza la burocrazia. Non so se è l'IA che mi asseconda... in quel caso dovresti desiderare degli alleati.

Tra l'altro tutte le tipe del team sembra siano bombe sexy Kirk non se la passa male, te lo garantisco.

Ho convinto Liha dandole un contatto nel Palazzo Imperiale, che potesse spiare il pretore per loro.

"We aren't on Thieurrull. It shouldn't be a problem," he replied. He didn't even know where exactly they were at the moment. They were on a warbird, after all.

Liha crosses her arms, a frown forming on her face.
"We're not, but we're still in Romulan space. And Vrax has ships that can cover more ground than ours. We need to move you to a safer location, but it's risky. The warbird is being monitored by his intelligence agents."

Credevo ormai fossimo in territorio federale, ma in effetti superare la Zona Neutrale senza essere beccati non è semplice.

Liha paces the small cell, her frustration evident.
"We have a backup plan. There's a Romulan colony on the edge of Federation space. It's far enough away that Vrax won't think to look there. But we'll have to smuggle you onto a civilian transport."

Liha stops pacing and looks at you intently.
"You'll have to disguise yourself. Dress like a civilian, cover your markings, and keep your head down. We can't afford any mistakes."

"Will I be alone?"

Liha

Liha shakes her head.
"No, you'll have one of our operatives with you. They'll be posing as your spouse to avoid suspicion. The transport leaves in three hours. Get ready."

Questa volta l'AI non ha reagito al mio evidente "oh, forse ho trovato il modo di fuggire". Sarà perché mi ha registrato come alleato?
Comunque, arrivata a questo punto, ho ingenuamente pensato che sarebbe stata Liha a fare la parte della moglie. Invece no, l'AI ha altre idee.

"Who will be the operative?"

Liha

Liha hesitates for a moment before answering.
"Lerius. He's the only one we trust with this mission."

Oren

"My brother will pretend to be my spouse? Really?"

Liha

Liha nods, a slight smirk playing on her lips.
"Yes. He volunteered. He's quite the actor when he needs to be. Don't worry, Oren. You'll be safe with him."

A me è venuto fuori un altro casino con Khan. Praticamente lui medita effettivamente di attaccare, ma al momento si stava difendendo da noi che gli abbiamo lanciato un attacco a tradimento.

E il comando mi ha incastrato: se lo aiuto divento un criminale, se non lo faccio permetto a Starfleet di abusare del proprio potere.

Lerius smirks as he leads you through the corridors of the warbird.
"Of course it is. And yes, there were other options. But this one is the most believable. Besides, it's hilarious to see you squirm."

Oren

"I should have broken your nose sooner. You've improved. At least now you make fun of me instead of threatening to kill me."

Lerius

Lerius laughs, shaking his head.
"Don't get used to it. I still want to punch you in the face. But I'll save that for after we get you to safety."

Oren

"Safety," he replied with a sigh. "You're just moving me from one prison to another, Lerius."

Lerius

Lerius' expression turns serious for a moment.
"It's not a prison. It's a chance for you to start over. To live a life without the Empire's shadow looming over you. I know you don't believe me now, but you will understand one day."

Lerius interjects before the man can respond.
"We had to make sure you were serious about leaving the Empire. This was a test. And you passed. Now we can move forward with our plans."

Una parte di me se l'aspettava, ma non credevo che l'AI fosse in grado di andare avanti con un inganno per così tanto tempo. Mi ha sorpreso. E l'ha anche giocata bene, sfruttando le debolezze del mio pg e il suo desiderio di famiglia.

Lerius alla fine mi ha chiesto scusa, quindi magari non è così irrecuperabile... o sta cercando di manipolarmi. Sono indecisa.

There's an awkward silence between you and Lerius as the minutes tick by. You can feel the tension in the air, thick with unspoken words.

non credevo che l'AI fosse in grado di andare avanti con un inganno per così tanto tempo

l'ho notato anch'io. A volte ha dei recuperi di memoria così, a random, altre volte si scorda cosa ha detto due post prima.

La mia con Khan si è infittita ulteriormente. Sto fingendo di collaborare con Khan e lui mi ha passato delle coordinate che ha detto "avrei trovato interessanti". Vado lì e becco una base romulana in fase di evacuazione, con un'autodistruzione già attivata. Ficcanasando in giro trovo dei dati nel computer che dimostrano il coinvolgimento di Khan in un progetto per creare dei soldati romulani geneticamente modificati. Adesso però sono confusa: perché Khan dovrebbe mettermi in mano delle prove che sta complottando contro la Federazione!? =.O E' un modo sottile per dirmi che sa che sto facendo il doppio gioco? E' l'IA che non sa più cosa dice? Non si aspettava che trovassi quei dati? Boh?

Intanto sto facendo blackmailing all'Ammiraglio Morrow per convincere il Comando a ritirare le accuse nei miei confronti, perché è venuto fuori che sapevano che ero innocente e mi hanno usato come capro espiatorio con un processo-farsa, allora mi sono girate...
